07.12.2006
MONTENEGRIN SHOOTING NATIONAL TEAM WILL HAVE ITS DEBUE ON THE BALCANIAD

To Belgrade with eight competitors

From Friday to Sunday, Belgrade will be Balkanian shooting center. During those three days, three competitions will take place – Balkanian Championship, Open Championship of Belgrade and Grand Prix – all of them for shooting from standard air weapons. Among competitors, there will be representatives of Montenegro, acting independent for the first time after the acception of our Federation into membership to international organisations.

Montenegrin National Team composing of eight members will depart tomorrow, and the Elector, Stanko Laban decided that on these Competiotions, next competitors will compete: Nikola Šaranović, Nenad Perić, Željko Miličković in Senior Categories Shooting from Pistols, Senior Bojana Vukotić and Junior Miloš Raičević; shooting from Guns: Seniors Dušan Đukić, Aleksandar Kostić and Mladen Knežević. The competition will, for sure, be very tough, but this will be the opportunity for Montenegrin shooters to show their capabilities.

- This will be our first independent appearance on international scene, which is very important to us. Still, it shouldn't be expected a lot from our first appearance. We go to Belgrade without having joint preparations, so we are aware of the tough competition there – said Laban before they departed. – All the best competitors in shooting from this kind of weapon will be there. We are still not experienced enough to «deal» with them equally, but I believe that we won’t embarrasse ourselves. I expect the most from Nikola Šaranović and the Team for shooting from Pistols, and I hope they will make it to the Finals. Besides Nikole, for the Team will also shoot Miličković and Perić. Other competitors can hope for better classification only if they repeat their best results achieved.
