FIRST WINTER YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES "INNSBRUCK 2012"

18.01.2012.

Milena Radojičić 41. in giant slalom

At the first Winter Youth Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Montenegrin skier Milena Radojičić finished 41. at the giant slalom where participated 55 competitors.

After the first race she was 48. with time 2 minutes, 23 seconds and 79 hundredths.

"During the first race slope was more closed, with several changes of rhythm so I skied with reserve. During the second race it was better. Surely I could race better, but this was my first giant slalom race this season so it also influenced the result. I hope it will be better in slalom“, said Radojičić.

Winner of the gold medal was French Clara Direz, silver medal winner also French Estelle Alphan, and bronze medal winner Jasmina Suter from Switzerland.

Radojičić will also compete in slalom on 20. January.

Within cultural, educational and social programs organized every day at the Congress Center in Innsbruck, Montenegro had also its own presentation where were presented tourist potentials, cultural heritage and part of our national tradition. With help from our sport delegation participating at the Winter Youth Olympic Games, our stand was created by elementary school students from Innsbruck.
